600 Group receives positive feedback from its Openhouse event
The Openhouse event held last month at 600 Europe’s Heckmondwike site has been heralded as a great success for the Group.
Over the three day event distributors from around the globe, customers, and editors from the trade press, were talked through the group’s recent restructuring and were given a detailed tour of the newly integrated site and demonstrations of the Colchester-Harrison flagship Tornado TT6 Twin Turret / Twin Spindle CNC turning centre, alongside established favourites such as the Alpha range of combination CNC lathes, Fanuc Wirecut and Robocut machines. Also showcased were PBI chucks, Crawford Collets, Electrox Laser marking and Gamet Bearings.
There was renewed confidence for the Group’s future market position, and positive feedback from attendees about the speed of the integration and improvements made at the site. The Group’s commitment to UK manufacturing and further improved service offering was warmly welcomed and supported.
At the event 600 unveiled its new lathe refurbishment facility, and market leading machine tool finance packages.
Mike Berry, Managing Director said: “As well as creating a greater understanding of 600 Europe, the event was successful in securing a number of new orders.”
The180,000 sq.ft. site is now a complete machine tools competence centre, providing development, applications and associated support expertise for the entire Machine Tools Division. It incorporates 600 Group PLC head office, 600 Lathes, 600 Centre, Pratt Burnerd and most recently saw the integration of the German operation, Parat, making it the centre for 600 Europe.
